I studied Human Development and Family Studies at Texas Tech, then went on to get my Masters in Professional Counseling from Texas State. Relational therapy was my focus from the start. I've always believed that connection is at the heart of healing.
Before opening my private practice, I worked with a local Austin agency and a group practice, both of which taught me a lot and helped shape who I am as a therapist today. I've trained extensively in trauma-informed (EMDR), and couples approaches, and I'm always looking for ways to grow and deepen my work.
For over a decade, I worked in non-profit settings with people from all walks of life. Some of the most formative work I've done has been with teenagers in the foster system and with people navigating housing instability. Those experiences gave me a deep understanding of trauma and how it quietly shapes the way we move through the world.
I believe all the training and credentials matter, but what actually makes therapy work is the relationship. When you feel genuinely safe and seen, that's when real change becomes possible. When we work together, I'll show up with honesty, warmth, and a real investment in you. No agenda, no judgment. Just a space where we can do the work together.
When I'm not in session, you'll probably find me outside, on a patio with friends, or deep into a TV binge with my three animals (Flo, Charlie, and Arlo) piled around me. I love soul-cycle, finding the best sushi in Austin, and traveling whenever I get the chance.
I've called Austin home for 15 years, and I genuinely think it's the best city in Texas.
I hope this gives you a real sense of who I am. If anything resonates, I'd love to connect. Reach out anytime to ask questions or set up a consultation.
